My, how this year has differed from years past. Every time we step into the bathroom, we count the rolls of toilet paper in the closet. We wear a mask around our neck like jewelry to pull up when we leave the car.
I hope you are all faring well with the stay at home order. I know you realize this, but it really does mean stay at home. Many of us still have to work, so please maintain social distance, wash your hands and don’t touch your face.
I had another request for our liquid laundry detergent. The empty shelves at the stores have been disheartening. Many are getting more than they need, resulting in there not being enough for everyone. I make these cleaners regularly and use them nearly exclusively.
I would ask that you not panic buy at your local stores this week. Just buy what you need. Companies are still making these products and trucks are still delivering these products. The shortage you perceive, is the shortage that is being created by “panic buying.”
We are in a time that we haven‘t been in before. The panic, fear and confusion is getting to many of us. Please don‘t panic, limit your news viewing to updates only, wash your hands and be respectful of one another.
I think many of us may need to slow down, take a look around, and decide what’s really important. Is it the big gift? The big tree?
Many of us are being included in the Holiday Parties of the season. May they be office parties, shop parties or family gatherings, we are usually planning on bringing something to contribute. Perhaps you would send us your recipe for your favorite party treats.

I had a request a while back for a recipe for Hermits. I gave him our favorite. Since that time, we found another one we like. With apples readily available all year round, this one can be made anytime. However, with apples coming into season soon, this might be great time to try these Apple Hermits.
We went picking apples and pumpkins this past weekend and the orchard owner said this is the best year they’ve had in 10 years.
