The soccer playoffs are less than a month away and teams from the region are hoping to be involved.

Career, college fair set for Oct. 13
Region Two-School of Applied Technology will be hosting its annual Career/College fair for seniors and juniors from Houlton, Hodgdon, Southern Aroostook, East Grand and Katahdin high schools on Friday, Oct. 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Army National Guard Armory building 84 Pleasant St. in Houlton
Shire boys battle Orono to 1-1 stalemate
In a battle of two undefeated boys soccer teams Tuesday, both Houlton and Orono managed to emerge with their records intact following a 1-1 tie.
Three local soccer teams unbeaten
The Central Aroostook boys and Ashland and Presque Isle girls were still undefeated heading into this week’s varsity action on the soccer field. PI traveled to Caribou Tuesday for a matchup between teams combining on a 7-0 record (3-0 for the Wildcats, 4-0 for the Vikings).
Carlisle golf team collects home wins
The Carlisle golf team earned victories at a home match played last Wednesday, Aug. 30, at Caribou Country Club. The golfers followed that up the next day with a match at Houlton, losing to both the host Shires and the Mattanawcook Lynx.
