Approximately $7,000 to $8,000 in funds designated to pay back a loan from Maine Municipal Bond Bank for road surfacing and reconstruction had been used to pay part-time election clerks in 2023.
The town opted to not pass a proposed ordinance establishing Woodland as a “food sovereign” town after many residents said they did not understand what that would entail.
A post on the town’s website states that the Select Board will hold their next regular meeting Thursday, June 20 at 5:30 p.m. during which they will choose another date for the annual town meeting.
Select Board Chairperson Matt Cole adjourned the meeting due to an error on the printed copies of the budget warrant that resident Rosemary Monahan alerted the board to on Tuesday.
