Soil health seminar Nov. 2

LITTLETON, Maine — The Southern Aroostook Soil and Water Conservation District will host “Plants Grow Soil: Practical Applications for Soil Health Management” on Thursday, Nov. 2, at the Southern Aroostook Agricultural Museum.

The workshop, slated from 9 a.m.-2 p.m., will feature presentations by R.J. Rant, an agriculture consultant and owner of Nutrilink Biosystems in Michigan; Keith Berns, co-owner and founder of Green Cover Seed in Nebraska; and Brandon Smith, the Northeast region team leader at the NRCS’s Soil Health Division.

Credits are available. Preregistration is encouraged with the SASWCD. The fee is $10 and includes lunch.
