From The Bunkers (week of May 23, 2018)

Another beautiful week for golf. The greens are mowed and the fairways are groomed. Time to get the clubs out and come outside and play a few holes. The Golf for Life program has begun, so keep an eye out for our new golfers. During lessons the ninth hole green will be closed, so please play to the 18th.

The deadline for signing up for the Men’s Twilight League is May 30. Call the proshop or stop in to enter your team. Matches start June 4.

Our Memorial Scramble will be held on June 2 at 1 p.m. It will be an 18-hole, four-person event to honor those friends and golfers who have left us this year. Get your team together and sign up. Singles can call the proshop and we will put you on a team.

Junior Golf clinics will begin Tuesday, June 26, with an informational meeting and lessons starting the following Monday. Call 532-2662 to register. The fee is $45 per child or $40 each for multiple children.

The Lakeside Restaurant is open and taking reservations for dinner. They have been serving a packed house, so call Nancy at 694-9494 to save your table. And it’s just a short drive out to the clubhouse for a relaxing lunch, Wednesday through Saturday.

Hope to see you on the course this week. Come out and play nine holes.
