Geraldine Leona (Michaud) Mazerolle

OLD TOWN AND CARIBOU, Maine – Geraldine Leona (Michaud) Mazerolle, 90, died October 23, 2018, in Bangor after a lengthy illness. She was born in St. Andre, New Brunswick, April 11, 1928, the daughter of Paul and Helen (Gagnon) Michaud. She was the eleventh of twelve children.
Geraldine was raised and attended school in the Grand Falls, New Brunswick area. She married Armand E.G. Mazerolle in Grand Falls on October 22, 1946. They settled in Caribou, where Armand worked in auto body repair before eventually owning his own shop, where Geraldine was the bookkeeper and “sometimes helper” for 18 years. They closed the business due to urban renewal and went to work at Cary Medical Center in Caribou for 15 years, until retirement in April 1993. She became a widow in January 1997. She was a member of Holy Rosary Parish in Caribou until she moved to Old Town in 2014, where she became a member of the Parish of the Resurrection of the Lord Parish.
She is survived by children William Mazerolle and wife Diane of Kenduskeag, Greta Bouchard and husband Robert of Fort Myers, FL, Steven Mazerolle and wife Joyce of South China, Yvonne Thibodeau and husband Robert of Old Town; brother Yves Michaud of Grand Falls, NB, Canada; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m., Tuesday, October 30, 2018, at Parish of the Resurrection of the Lord, Holy Family Catholic Church, 429 Main St., Old Town. All are invited to the parish hall following the Mass for a reception. Burial will take place 12 p.m., Wednesday, October 31, at Evergreen Cemetery, Main St., Caribou.
