Shoot fouls for a fowl at Presque Isle Rec

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — The Presque Isle Recreation and Parks Department announces its “Fowl” shooting contest Friday, Nov. 16, through Sunday, Nov. 18, at the Sargent Family Community Center.

This year’s competition will be open to participants in grades 5-8, their parents, grandparents or guardians. The four divisions are mother/daughter, father/daughter, mother/son and father/son. One winner in each division will receive a Thanksgiving turkey.

Teams, consisting of one child and one parent, grandparent or guardian, will have the chance to take 50 foul shots, 25 per teammate. The team with the highest number of shots made in their division will win.

Foul shooting is open Friday, Nov. 16, 5-7 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 17 and 18, 1-3 p.m. each day.  Teams may make one official attempt on each of the three days, and must locate the building attendant to observe and score

their rounds.

There is a limit of one prize per household.
