3 injured in two-car collision in Houlton

HOULTON, Maine –Three people suffered injuries in a rear-end collision Saturday, Nov. 10, on the Bangor Road.

According to Lt. Theron Bickford of the Houlton Police Department, Donald Flanders, 59, of Houlton was traveling east on the Bangor Road in a 2008 grey Chevrolet sedan, owned by Stephanie Schillinger of New Limerick, around 12:13 p.m. when he slowed to make a right turn onto Grange Street.

Flanders then was struck from behind by a 2010 grey Honda sedan driven by Cleo Jameson, 80, of Littleton. According to the police report, Jameson was following too closely behind Flanders and unable to come to a stop. Road conditions were wet at the time of the crash.

Flanders and an 8-year-old passenger suffered minor head injuries. Jameson also suffered a back injury in the crash.
