Currier captures Maine Potato Blossom 5-Miler title

FORT FAIRFIELD, Maine — Russell Currier bested a field of 51 runners to claim the Maine Potato Blossom 5-Mile road race crown Saturday, July 20, under blistering hot weather conditions.

Currier completed the course in 28 minutes, 10 seconds, easily outpacing the next runner, William G. Dean, who crossed the finish line at 30:22.

Mandy Graham was the overall female winner as she completed the race in 36:32.
