Here is a partial listing of activities that will be held the week of June 24.
The week will start with an open house at the Mapleton Fire Department from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, June 24. The public can see the building, trucks, equipment and more.
The Mapleton Daze Committee will also have a hot dog roast with a bag of chips and water for a $5 donation. Funds will go toward fire department equipment.
A family fun and pool party is planned from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25, at the pool and recreation area. This will be a family friendly event.

Wednesday, June 26, will feature both a women loggers show and pogo event. Food vendors will be on hand. The shows will be outside, so bring chairs to enjoy the evening.
On Thursday June 27, Game Night will be held at the Mapleton Elementary School. In the cafeteria, bingo with prizes will occur. There is no admission.
In the Resource Room at the school, all area cribbage players are invited to the annual Woodie Waddell Cribbage Tournament, which will start at 6 p.m.
Friday evening, June 28, will feature food, music and fireworks. The Mapleton Lions Club will have a chicken barbecue at 4:30 p.m. at the Lions Hall, with half-chicken dinners with potato salad, cole slaw, roll and drink. A hot dog dinner will be available for the kids.
The Mapleton Baptist Church will hold a cornhole tournament at Mapleton Elementary School for all 13 and older. Prizes will be $50 first place, $30 second place and $10 third place. Registration starts at 4:30 p.m.
Music will include The County Folk from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. At 7 p.m., Star City Syndicate will play. The Mapleton Daze fireworks show will start at dusk. In case of rain, music will be inside the school and the fireworks delayed until Saturday night.
Saturday, June 29, will feature breakfast on Haystack Mountain at 7 a.m. At 7:30 a.m. area churches will offer free breakfast sandwiches with drinks next to the post office. The Haystack Historical Society will open at 10 a.m. with homemade pie and ice cream as a fundraiser.

The children’s bike parade starts at 10 a.m. and will lead the annual Mapleton Daze parade. At 11 a.m., activities at the elementary school will start, including food vendors, face painting, touch-a-truck, bouncy houses, demonstrations, games, petting zoo, horse rides, bike giveaway raffle, etc.
