PRESQUE ISLE, Maine – The University of Maine at Presque Isle will host the 17th annual Aroostook County All-Star High School Basketball Classic Wednesday, March 14 at Wieden Gymnasium. The girls’ game starts at 5:30 p.m. with the boys to follow at 7.
The girls’ roster includes Jessica Kinney from Caribou; Kalyn Devoe from Central Aroostook; Cassie Lovely from Easton; Heather Hathaway and Kerri Cunningham from Fort Fairfield; Megan Charette from Fort Kent; Megan Korhonen, Amanda Livesey from Greater Houlton Christian Academy; Brianne McGary from Hodgdon; Keegan Hovey and Victoria Rowe from Houlton; Ronni Robinson from Katahdin; Lauren Redmond and Julie Peers from Limestone Community School/Maine School of Science and Mathematics; Amanda Plourde from Madawaska; Angela Norsworthy and Shaina Watananuchit from Presque Isle; Kaylee Collier and Shana Martin from Southern Aroostook; and Megan Lajoie from Van Buren.
The boys’ roster includes Curtis Belanger from Ashland; Jeremiah Fitzherbert and Jordan Haines from Caribou; Tim Carlson, Sam Clockedile and Silas Kelly from Central Aroostook; Kyle Dicker from East Grand; Sam Bard from Fort Kent; Dave Guiggey from GHCA; Jordan Guy from Hodgdon; Drew Farrar from Houlton; Jarrod Anderson from Katahdin; Dan Hayes from LCS/MSSM; Dom Rossignol from Madawaska; Gabe Cheney and Logan York from Presque Isle; Riley Lizotte from Van Buren; Steve Pesut and Adam Thompson from Washburn; and Randy Thibeau from Wisdom.
Each roster will be split into two teams. Coaching the girls’ teams are Jeanette Peters and Jon Porter and coaching the boys’ teams are Larry Worcester and Ron Grover.
The event is sponsored by Maine Mutual Group Insurance, Katahdin Trust Company, Coca-Coal and Blackstone Family Farms in Easton. Selection for the teams was put together by members of the local media.
Admission is $3 for adults and $2 for children with proceeds going to a scholarship fund.
