Girl Scouts in Aroostook County, ages 11 through seniors in high school, are invited to join a program especially for them, The Real Deal, which will be run in conjunction with the volunteer 1Voice meeting on Saturday, March 17, at the Grant Memorial United Methodist Church, 79 Fleetwood St., Presque Isle. The meeting will run 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Samantha Lott, Girl Scout teen specialist, will present the program in which the girls will set their own goals and actively achieve them through discussions, activities and reflections on themselves and their opinions about the world.
Pre-registration is a must. To register for the program, call Angela Mitchell at 800-464-3858 or e-mail her at amitchell@abnakigsc.org. The fee for the session is $10.50 and will cover the program, the book and the earned charm award.
Girls who are not already Girl Scouts may attend for an additional fee of $10 which will cover the membership fee. Financial assistance is also available.
