The annual S.W. Collins Company 5K Road Race was held June 25 in Caribou, with Evan Graves and Susan Plissey winning the overall titles.
Graves finished in 15 minutes and 27 seconds, while Plissey crossed the line in 20:17.
Age division winners were: 14-and-under male, Christian Sleeper, 20:12; 14-and-under female, Alecia Palmer, 22:03; 15-18 male, Sam Sheehan, 16:21; 15-18 female, Kristina Stephens, 20:54; 19-29 male, P. J. Gorneault, 15:36; 19-29 female, Rene Laliberty, 20:40; 30-39 male, Thomas Beckum, 17:40; 40-49 male, Jeff Ashby, 16:57; 40-49 female, Linda Mountain, 21:27; 50-59 male, Bruce Freme, 20:26; 50-59 female, Connie McLellan, 23:19; 60-69 male, Larry Tonzi, 22:09.
In the 1K Fun Run held earlier in the day, winners included: ages 4 and under boys, Alex Belanger; ages 4 and under girls, Edie Shea; ages 5-6 boys, first, Jay Belanger; second, Michael Kashian; ages 5-6 girls, first, Hope Shea; second, Maren Moir; third, Brooke Blackstone; ages 7-8 boys, Dillon Beckum; ages 7-8 girls, Erin Kashian; ages 9-10 girls, Lillian Ashby; ages 11-12 boys, first, Adam Collins; second, Tyler Strid; ages 11-12 girls, first, Clara Collins; second, Emily Soderberg.
The next Aroostook County road race is the Bull Run 8K, set for Saturday in Houlton beginning at 9 a.m. Also coming up are the Musterd Mile July 13 and the Potato Blossom 5-Miler July 21.
