King, Pangburn promoted

    Katahdin Trust Company Senior Vice President, Retail Services Bonnie Foster, has announced the promotion of Mark W. King to Assistant Vice President and Retail Services Officer.

    “We are pleased to recognize Mark as he has earned this designation for his commitment and contributions to Katahdin Trust Company” said Foster.
    King, a Houlton native, received his Associates Degree in Business Administration from Northern Maine Community College. He is a graduate of the Northern New England School of Banking in Durham, New Hampshire and has earned a general banking diploma from the Northern New England Center for Financial Training.
    King joined the credit control department of Katahdin Trust Company in 1995 and has served in a variety of positions including manager of the Island Falls office, manager and retail services officer at the Patten and Mars Hill offices, and most recently as retail services officer in Houlton.  In his new position he will continue to be responsible for retail lending and business development in the Houlton area.
    Active in community and professional organizations he currently serves as a member of the Board of Appeals for the town of Littleton and a member of the Southern Aroostook Vocational Education Business Technology craft committee. King resides in Littleton.
Pangburn promoted at Katahdin Trust Company
    Katahdin Trust Company Senior Vice President Commercial Services, Peter St. John has announced the promotion of Jeffrey M. Pangburn to Assistant Vice President and Commercial Services Officer.

    “It is a pleasure to promote Jeff to this well deserved position,” said St. John. “His dedication and commitment to his customers and the bank have made him an extremely valuable part of our team.” 
    Pangburn, a Mars Hill native, attained his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Maine at Farmington, Master of Science in Business from Husson College in Bangor and is a graduate of the Northern New England School of Banking in Durham, New Hampshire. He joined Katahdin Trust Company in 2004 as Commercial Services Officer.  Prior to joining the Bank, Pangburn served as Economic Development Specialist for Maine Public Service Company.  In his new position, he will continue to be responsible for business lending and development in the central Aroostook area. 
     Active in community activities, Pangburn serves as treasurer of the Presque Isle Rotary Club, a member of the Board of Assessment Review for the City of Presque Isle and member of the board of directors for the Northern Maine Fair Association and the Local Workforce Investment Board.  He and his wife Nora reside in Presque Isle with their two sons Jacob and Evan.
