Christmas women’s brunch and program planned

   WESTFIELD, Maine – The Obedient Heart Ministry, a ministry of the Westfield United Baptist Church, will hold a Christmas event for area women.     “Gifts from the Heart: Love, Laughter, Live,” with Cynthia Fantasia from Grace Chapel in Lexington, Mass. will be held from 8 a.m.-noon Saturday, Nov. 24 at the University of Maine at Presque Isle Campus Center. The facility is handicapped accessible. The cost is $30.
There will be a breakfast buffet, special holiday demonstrations, live music and traditional caroling, several door prizes, Book Shoppe, an opportunity to start (or complete) your Christmas shopping; an inspirational speaker, and a gift for everyone.
Fantasia serves as pastor of women at Grace Chapel. She oversees a ministry that reaches and teaches over 1,000 women weekly. She is a speaker at conferences and retreats nationally and internationally. During the summer of 2005, she visited Nigeria, addressing women’s health and spiritual issues, and was the keynote speaker at two Nigerian women’s conferences.
She is a contributing author in “Mothers Have Angel Wings” by Carol Kent, and “What We’ve Learned So Far” by Lucinda Secrest Mcdowell. She also has written several Bible studies. Fantasia is an adjunct professor at Gordon Conwell Seminary and received her doctor of ministry degree in the area of women’s studies.
