Hamm, Donald D., 91, September 9, 2007.  Arrangements by Norton Memorial Funeral Home, Norton, MA.     NORTON, MA – Donald D. Hamm, 91, died on Sunday, Sept. 9, 2007, at the Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Chelmsford. He was the beloved husband of the late Alda L. (Soule) Hamm. Born in Smyrna, Maine on Aug. 1, 1916, he was a dear son of the late Joel A. and Mildred (Harper) Hamm. He grew up in Maine and was educated in Maine public schools.
    Mr. Hamm was a retired foreman, having worked for the Halliday Lithograph Co. in Hanson for over 15 years prior to retirement. He had formerly been employed as a farmer for most of his life. Don enjoyed playing cribbage. He had lived in Norton for over 25 years and was a former resident of Sharon.
    He is survived by his devoted children, Dennis D. Hamm of North Attleboro, Diane E. Eastman of Los Alamitos, Calif., and Michael D. Hamm of Billerica; his brother, Lester “Dutchie” Hamm of Smyrna Mills, Maine; and his sister, Edith Lord of Bangor, Maine. He is also survived by six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
    Funeral services and burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Visiting hours had been omitted. Arrangements by the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St., Norton.
