Bell Scholarship granted to Stephanie Martin

      Stephanie Martin, second from right, has received the $500 Winnifred “Pete” Bell Scholarship, managed by the Jefferson Cary Foundation. The scholarship, established in honor of Winnie Bell, who worked at Cary Medical Center for nearly 40 years on the obstetrics floor and as a nursing supervisor, is awarded to a high school senior pursuing a degree in nursing. Stephanie is enrolled in the nursing program at Northern Maine Community College, and will transfer to the four-year nursing program at the University of Maine, Fort Kent. She is a unit secretary at Cary and is the daughter of Rick and Kim Martin of Sinclair. Presenting the scholarship funds are from left, Cary CEO Kris Doody, Karla Bell, (Winnie’s daughter), and Mary Harrigan, JCF administrator.
