The Caribou Kiwanis Club will sponsor events in the upcoming week in conjunction with the Caribou Winter Carnival and Snowmobile Festival, including a “Fabulous February” Dance as well as the ever popular Keystone Kops. The “Fabulous February” Dance will be held on Saturday, Feb. 25 from 8 p.m.-midnight at the Caribou Inn and Convention Center. The dance will feature the local band Overdrive which is made up of Kevin Hamel, Scott Hamel and Heath Bartley.
Organizers emphasize this is a casual dress dance and snowmobilers are welcome to attend. The dance is for adults only and ID is required. Tickets will be available at the door for a price of $5.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Kiwanis projects for local senior citizens and youth.
The Keystone Kops will be making arrests on Friday, Feb. 15 with proceeds going to Kiwanis charities. Arrest warrants can be purchased for $10 at the Caribou One-Stop, Caribou Food Trend, the Caribou Chamber of Commerce and Industry or from any Kiwanis member. Warrants may also be purchased by calling the American Legion on Feb. 15 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. at 498-2844.
