HOULTON, Maine — The nurses of Houlton Regional Hospital are developing a scholarship fund in memory of Anne Turner, LPN. Turner, who worked as a nurse at Houlton Regional Hospital from 1981 to 2007, is remembered by co-workers for her compassionate way of delivering care, her devoted friendship and her quiet dedication to patients and coworkers.

Anyone interested in applying for the scholarship must meet the following criteria: completion of at least 1 year of an accredited nursing program with a minimum GPA of 2.8, demonstration of compassion and exceptional patient care, show a commitment to improving the health of the Houlton community and have a desire to work for Houlton Regional Hospital upon graduation.
Applicants should submit evidence of the above criteria including transcripts, recommendation from preceptor or clinical instructor and a brief essay explaining their commitment to improving the health of the Houlton community and their desire to work at Houlton Regional Hospital.
