Caribou Middle School names Students of the Month

   CARIBOU, Maine — Caribou Middle School has named the students of the month of January. The most recent students of the month are as follows:

Elise Gudde

Elise Gudde, a fifth grade student of the month for the “sur-five-ors” team. She was recognized by her teacher, Kim Barnes, as a hard-working student with excellent work habits who maintains highest honors. She is also a positive role model who shows kindness and punctuality, as she is always prepared for class. She is involved in band and chorus and enjoys running in her spare time.

Paige Johnson

Paige Johnson has been named January student of the month for the sixth grade “6-Ceeders” team of Mrs. Bouchard, Mr. Pelletier, and Mrs. Dionne.  They state that she works hard and takes her studies very seriously. She is amiable and compassionate with work partners and classmates and always lends a helping hand.

Victoria Keaton

Victoria Keaton has been selected as January student of the month for the sixth grade “WOWS” Team.  She has been recognized for her sunny demeanor and helpfulness.  She is also very diligent academically and is involved in cheerleading, showchoir, and other activities. Her optimistic personality makes her a joy for family and friends to be around.

MacKenzie Belyea

The seventh grade “SWAT” team has chosen MacKenzie Belyea as their student of the month. MacKenzie is a chorus member and honor roll student. She is known for her positive, friendly and diligent habits. She has a fantastic work ethic and attitude and is a great role model for others to follow. Her most dominant virtues are her kindness and helpfulness toward others. For example, she helps students look forward to school and get more enjoyment and success there. It is this kindness that makes her such a great candidate.

Meredith Sleeper

Meredith Sleeper has been selected as January student of the month for the seventh grade “STARS” team. She is a “wonderful student who takes pride in her work.” Her teachers see that she is a peer helper in the classroom and works well with everyone. She is also involved in school activities such as chorus, band, All Aroostook, and the ski team.  She also spends a great deal of her time participating in dance classes at the Maine Dance Academy, where she is a junior dance instructor.

Samantha Watson

Samantha Watson has been selected as one of the eight grade Students of the Month.  The eighth grade teachers Jessica Dow, Courtney Cyr, Shannon Sleeper, Troy Barnes and Ralph Fantasia, feel that Samantha is an excellent choice. She has been a very responsible and hard-working student this year. She has been consistently earning high marks this year, and is viewed by her teachers as a very polite student. She has often been very helpful, including volunteering to help other students with their work and is also a student who is not afraid to ask questions and participate in group discussions.         The eighth grade team is proud to select Ms. Watson as one of their students of the month.

Reggie Rideout

Reggie Rideout is an active student of Caribou Middle School and a January Student of the Month. He participates in basketball, wrestling, and baseball. He is also a member of the eighth grade leadership team. He is always helpful with his peers and teachers and is a pleasure to have in the class.

Kyle Tibbetts

The January student of the month for the fifth grade “Braniacs” team is Kyle Tibbetts.  He is a young man who strives to do his best at CMS. He has a good work ethic and is a high honors student. The fifth grade teachers, Mrs. Levasseur and Mrs. Oullette have recognized Kyle as a very well rounded person who participates in the Builder’s Club, Student Organization and CMS Wrestling Team. Outside of school he is involved in the Cub Scouts, soccer and baseball. Kyle often shows good leadership skills, kindness and enjoys being around others.
