    UMO corrects dean’s list
    It has come to our attention that some towns were omitted from the University of Maine fall 2007 dean’s list which was sent to the Star-Herald earlier.     Powers awarded scholarship
    Heather Powers, of Presque Isle, a student at Wentworth Institute of Technology, was recently awarded the Perini Corporation Scholarship.
Lothrop named to Honor Roll
    Henry Pietras, principal of Mattanawcook Academy in Lincoln has announced the third quarter honor roll for the school year 2007-’08.
    HONORS – Kylee Lothrop went to Ashland. Lothrop is currently a freshman.
Kenneson honored
    AUGUSTA — Seven community college students were honored April 23 for their academic success and campus and community involvement  at a ceremony hosted by the Maine Community College System (MCCS) Board of Trustees.
    The 2008 Students of the Year Awards Ceremony was held Wednesday, April 23, at the Senator Inn in Augusta. The awards ceremony was followed by a luncheon.     Students honored included local resident Kristina Kenneson, 22, an NMCC Accounting Information Systems and Business Administration major, with a 3.9 GPA, of Presque Isle.
