The Peter Ouellette Scholarship was established by classmates, friends and family in memory of Ouellette who coached and managed within the Little League from 1967-1973. In 1970, Ouellette coached the Caribou Little League All-Stars to a third-place finish in the state Little League tournament. From 1980-87, Ouellette was chief umpire for the Little League.
In 1984, Ouellette received the Millet Award for the most outstanding Little League umpire in Maine the same year he umpired at the Maine Little League championship game. Ouellette passed away in November of 1995 after a long illness.
Noyes received the honor for his involvement with baseball. He played on the Woodland Eagle, Union 122 Middle School, and junior varsity and varsity baseball teams at Caribou High School. Noyes has also coached in the Babe Ruth program in 2007 and 2008.
Noyes received a plaque and $200 for his expenses at the University of Maine at Orono next year.
The Caribou Little League established its own scholarship in 1998 to be presented to a boy or girl who is a former Little League player, and is a senior on the Caribou High School baseball or softball team.
Bouchard played middle school, junior varsity and varsity softball. She has also been involved in the Recreation Department’s soccer, basketball, baseball and softball programs. Bouchard is a former member of the Little League’s Police team.
