PRESQUE ISLE – Have a hankering for a summertime dessert but just not in the mood for ice cream? Then mark your calendar for Thursday, June 26, and pick up an annual favorite, and help the Presque Isle Area Chamber of Commerce raise funds for a number of fun activities at the same time.
The PIACC is once again hosting its annual strawberry shortcake sale on June 26 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Shortcakes are made with homestyle biscuits, whipped cream and plenty of strawberries.
“The location of our strawberry shortcake booth this year will be at the KeyBank parking lot on North Street Plaza for walk-up customers,” said Theresa Fowler, executive director of the Chamber.
Not able to make it to the booth? Don’t worry. Deliveries are also available.
“Deliveries will be made to businesses who order 10 or more shortcakes,” said Fowler.
Shortcakes cost $3 each and can be picked up or delivery can be scheduled in the Presque Isle area. To place an order, contact the PIACC at 764-6561 or stop by the booth the day of the sale.
The PIACC serves the communities of: Ashland, Blaine, Castle Hill, Chapman, Easton, Mapleton, Mars Hill, Masardis, Oxbow, Portage, Presque Isle, Washburn and Westfield.
