Aurore Marie (Corbin) Godin, 85 years young, wife of the late Alphy Godin passed away July 1, 2008, at the Bristol hospital in CT, with many of her children beside her. She was born at Caribou, January 21, 1923, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Louise (St.Pierre) Corbin. For many years Aurore and Alphy resided in Caribou; where Alphy passed away. Aurore later relocated in West Hartford, CT, where she lived for 11 years. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
She was a loving and devoted wife and mother to her family. To Aurore her family was everything, her children were her world. She will always be missed and loved by all that knew her. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Patricia Beals of CT, Patrick and Goscelyn Godin of CT, Leola Grondin of CT, Gerald and Carolanne Godin of CT, Roger and Clemence Godin of FL, Joanne and Lewis Brissette of CT, Alphie and Rita Godin of CT, Nelson and Kathy Godin of CT, Ann Marie Pooler of ME, Rita and Michael Clevette of FL, John and Josephine Godin of New York, David Godin of CT, Raymond Godin of CT, Angela and Ronald Gallagher of ME and Judy Godin of CT: two sisters Ida Budreau and Jean Laplante both of FL. She will also be remembered by her 32 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren and also her many brother and sister-in-laws; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Alphy Godin; parents Joseph and Mary Louise (St.Pierre) Corbin; two sons, Paul and Joseph Godin; three daughters, Viola Godin, Jean (Godin) Moreau, Theresa (Godin) Legere; and four brothers, Arthur, William, Clifford and Leo Corbin.
Funeral services were held 11 a.m., Saturday, July 5, 2008, at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church with the Very Rev. Jean-Paul Labrie, pastor, officiating in a Mass of Christian Burial.
