Glenna Mae (Wasson) Bailey

Bailey, Glenna M., 93, August 2, 2008.  Arrangements by Dunn Funeral Home, Houlton.  Interment was held in the Evergreen Cemetery, Houlton.
    Monticello & Houlton – Glenna Mae (Wasson) Bailey, age 93, went home to be with the her Lord and Savior on August 2, 2008. She was born in February 1915, in Bloomfield, N.B., the eldest daughter of Andrew and Lona (Folsom) Wasson.
    She moved to Monticello as a small child and lived there until 1989 when she moved to Littleton and later to Houlton. She married Amos O. Bailey of Monticello on May 6, 1931. She worked several years in the local potato fields before working at Aroostook Hospital and Ricker College cafeteria. She attended the Monticello Pentecostal Church for many years until her health prevented it.
    She is survived by her daughter, Ione Rush and her husband Alan of Dover-Foxcroft; six grandchildren, Donna Shrout and husband Michael of Ludlow, Jerry Rush and fiancé Nancy Richards of Dexter, Jill (Rush) Koenig and husband Gary of Gray, Garth G. Bailey of Oakfield, Kevin Bailey of Cape Coral, Florida and Jane (Bailey) Thibeau and husband Rick of Cumberland Center; 14 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; a very special niece, Marjorie (Bailey) Rush and her husband Almon of Houlton; one step-brother, Gene Cullins and wife Norma of Vermont; a step-sister, Jennie Holmes of Virginia; a daughter-in-law, LaVersa Bailey of Westbrook; a brother-in-law, Herbie Evans and his wife Edna of Levant; and several nieces, nephews and close friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Amos; a son, Garth A. Bailey; and six sisters, Infant baby Mae Wasson, Minnie Bailey, Theodosia Craig, Alice Colter, Gladys Evans, and Dorothy Carr; one grand-daughter, Karen Lynn Fitzgerald; one step-brother, Raymond Cullins.
    Friends called at the Dunn Funeral Home, 11 Park Street, Houlton 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, August 4th and Funeral Services were held at the funeral home 2 p.m. August 5th.
