    RACHEL DONOVAN, left, of Blaine, and Ian Crane of Hodgdon, were this year’s Grand Champion and Reserve Champion, respectively, at this year’s 4-H Baby Beef auction.

Donovan’s 1,165-pound Angus-cross steer, Sampson, was sold to Tri-Winner Irving for $4.15 a pound, while Crane’s 1,030-pound Shorthorn steer, Southern Pride, was sold to Haines Mfg. at $3.50 per pound. Here, Donovan and Crane pose with their trophies.
