Smith to attend national event

    This week Zachary Earl Smith, of Presque Isle, also a candidate for House District 7, will be in Minneapolis AND St. Paul, Minn., for the Republican National Convention. Smith is an alternate delegate for Maine to the convention and the only member of the Maine delegation representing Aroostook County.      “I am very excited,” Smith said, “and I am very fortunate to have the honor of representing the county in Minnesota,” said Smith.
     On Saturday, Sept. 6, in the UMPI Campus Center at 3 p.m., the UMPI College Republicans will be hosting an event where Smith will talk about his convention experience.
