Wednesday, October 22
10 a.m. York Street — Trespassing — Caller reported someone had been going into his storage trailers located on York Street, possibly looking for metal, copper, brass items, etc.     Action — Police said they would watch the area the best that they could.
2:58 p.m. Van Buren  Road — Disorderly Conduct — Stated police reported they had received numerous calls regarding a fight at the round-a-bout.
    Action — Officer located two male subjects and both were charged with disorderly conduct.
3:55 p.m. Bennett Drive — Burglary/Theft — Female caller advised she had been gone for 15 minutes and found her medications and two packs of cigarettes missing when she returned home.
    Action — Officer located a red case with meds on the lawn. Missing were 30 pills of one med and 72 of another; also the smokes. Case was not wet so it hadn’t been there long. It was unknown who it could have been. Caller seemed nervous; this had happened before but female denied involvement.
Thursday, October 23
8:10 a.m. South Main Street — Check on Well-being — Female caller advised her husband had been served with a protection order the previous evening and that morning she had driven by a local business and witnessed his car there with the windows frosted. She requested police to check to see if he was all right.
    Action — Officer spoke with male subject who was all right but didn’t have any money or food. Officer suggested he go to the shelter in Presque Isle.
1:30 p.m. Park Street — Motor Vehicle  Complaint — A male reported that a small pickup drives by the Caribou Middle School at a fast rate of speed; the license plate was noted and given to police.
    Action — Officer spoke with subject vehicle operator advising this was the second complaint from the school and if any more complaints were made he would be going to court.
5:10 p.m. Bennett Drive — Criminal Trespass — A female caller reported a female subject was there and was upset that caller wouldn’t let her spend the night. Subject requested to speak with an officer.
    Action — Officer told subject to leave; said she was going to Wal-mart in Presque Isle.
5:30 p.m. Route 1 — Violation of Protection Order — A female caller advised her husband had called her again, begging not to be left outside to freeze that night.
    Action — Officer spoke with subject and advised him if there were any more calls made police department would be providing him a place to stay. Officer contacted caller and advised her if husband called or came around to her to contact them.
5:55 p .m. Bennett Drive — Child Endangerment — Caller from the recreation center advised police of a vehicle in the front of the building. Occupant of vehicle was offering to give kids smokes.
    Action — Subject vehicle was gone when officers arrived. Caller was unable to provide a plate number.
6:32 p.m. Access Highway — Phone Harassment — Caller reported a male subject had just threatened him because he had questioned a female subject  about being with someone he knows. Male subject had told him if he said anymore about the female he would send someone over.
    Action — Officer told caller that this was a conditional threat and all he needed to do was not say anything else about the female.  Caller wanted incident on record. Record was made.
8:12 p.m. Summit Avenue — Check on Well-being — Police were advised by the Caribou Fire Department that they had received a call from a female who advised she thought she had heard someone fall in an upstairs apartment and hadn’t heard anything since. Would like police to check.
    Action — Officer checked residence and there were no problems.
6:50 p.m. Bennett Drive — Theft — Police were advised of a female subject who had just pumped 410 of gas at a local business and found her wallet was not in her purse. Employee would like an officer to stop by the business.
    Action — Female subject was to go to her home and call in her debit card number so the amount could be deducted for the gas. Female had not called the business by 9:46 p.m. Officer will check with the District Attorney as female subject is currently out on bail for another theft.
11 p.m. — Collins Street — Noise Complaint — Caller reported her neighbor was banging around and keeping other tenants awake.
    Action — Office was informed that the neighbor’s disabled relative with leg braces was  having difficulty trying to get up and down the stairs . Relative had been there for about 10 minutes but has since left. Female believes that was the noise the others were complaining about.
11:26 p.m. Old Van Buren Road — Alarm — Police were alerted to an alarm going off at a local business.
    Action — Officer located a male subject walking around the building who advised he was looking for a place to sleep. Officers also located an unsecured overhead door. Building manager was contacted and she was in route from Presque Isle. Officer transported male subject to the Presque Isle shelter for the evening.
11:42 Stevens Street — Disorderly Conduct — Caller requested an officer come to a local business and remove an intoxicated male subject who was arguing and fighting with other employees.
    Action — Officers dropped subject off at the corner of Main and Russ Streets. Subject would walk the rest of the way. He had a taxi waiting for him that had picked him up at another business and owed $15 for the service. Police will also receive a call from a business owner requesting a written warning to be issued to the subject for criminal trespass and to not return to the business; so future incidents will result in arrest.
Friday, October 24
1:20 p.m. Collins Street — Theft — Caller advised that two days previous a female subject had taken one of her  cats to the Pet Rescue and on this day had tried to take another cat that belong to her to the shelter but they would not take the feline. Caller informed police that the Pet Rescue workers stated that the cats are fine but the subject argues the cats are not being taken care of properly.
    Action — Officer spoke with female subject who admitted taking the cats to the animal shelter, stating the cats have been outside for over a month and are not being taken care of. Subject was advised not to be taking anymore of the caller’s cats to Pet Rescue. Officer warned that she is borderline theft and harassment. Subject said she would not touch the cats.
2 p.m. Bennett Drive — Disorderly Conduct — Chief Gahagan received a complaint from the recreation center regarding two subjects that had gotten into a fight. At the time individual from the center was just making police aware of the situation, as they had handled it there.
5:22 p.m. East Presque Isle Road — Motor Vehicle Complaint — Caller advised she was almost hit by a vehicle that was operating recklessly on the East Presque Isle Road.  
    Action — Officer was unable to locate subject vehicle.
5:55 p.m. Elm Street — Theft — Female advised having sent her daughter to pick up her prescriptions and somewhere between the store and home, someone had taken the medications.
    Action: Police investigated further and determined the prescriptions were picked by the daughter upon entering the store who then shopped for approximately one-half hour. An employee at the store remembered seeing the items and put them in the grocery bag prior to taking them out to the vehicle of the customer. Daughter returned to her houses house and could not locate scripts. There were no narcotics involved. Officer will view video if available at the business; could only see daughter picking up prescriptions then begin shopping. At that point it appeared the scripts were lost, nothing to indicate they were stolen. Prescriptions were located in a shopping cart under a loaf of bread after the store closed. Scripts were undisturbed and had just been misplaced.
9:21 p.m. Sweden Street — Juvenile — A male caller advised police of a group of individuals hanging around outside his business and stated he wanted them off the sidewalk, away from the building.
    Action — Officer talked to caller then spoke to one of the subjects who decided to hit the road.
Saturday, October 25

6:25 a.m. Cary Medical Center — Public Assistance — Caller from Cary Medical Center reported a gentleman there who was unable to open the car door  with his key; thought perhaps he had the wrong vehicle.
    Action — Officer spoke with individual who was unable to tell which vehicle was his because they were all covered with frost. Vehicle was located and gentleman was on his way.
2:05 p.m. Jacobs Avenue — Child Endangerment — A male individual came into the police station advising police that on Sept. 27, he had been at a Jacobs Avenue residence for a meeting. While there a male subject caused his three-year-old to become nervous. The child’s biological mother had someone call him and say he was with DHHS. Male stated he checked with DHHS and there was no person employed with them. Will seek a protection order us needed. In the meantime he would like police to determine who the person was.
    Action — Police are investigating.
6:07 p.m. Sweden Street — Domestic — A female called advising there was a male subject beating on a woman in front of a local business.
    Action — Officer located a female and her husband. He was trying to get her phone to find out who she had been calling. Officer was informed by husband that woman had just gotten his paycheck and she was about to go play bingo. No charges, mostly verbal and female didn’t want to do anything.
Sunday, October 26
2:40 a.m. Washington Street — Theft — Caller reported having heard a noise on her porch and came outside to check, found all of her pumpkins missing.
    Action — Officer would be checking area for vehicles or pedestrians. Officer spoke with a male subject who was walking on Washington Street who stated he knew nothing about missing pumpkins.
11:50 a.m. Van Buren Road — Motor Vehicle  Complaint — Caller reported a vehicle had hydro-planed and took out some mailboxes. Driver of subject vehicle had stopped but when he witnessed caller making a call he had driven off. Caller advised there were two occupants and the vehicle had front-end damage.
11:58 a.m. Van Buren Road — Motor Vehicle Complaint — Caller reported having observed a vehicle hydro-plane and go off the road. Did not appear to be any damage.
    Action — Officer was in area and would check.
7:35 p.m. Main Street — Motor Vehicle Burglary — Caller advised his wife’s vehicle had been parked for the weekend and he noticed when he picked it up that someone had gone through the vehicle. Missing were CDs, change, a knife and a clip for a 20-guage shotgun. Doors were unlocked.
9:45 p.m. Washburn Street — Harassment by Phone — A female at a Washburn Street residence advised she had been receiving harassing and threatening calls from two other female subjects. Caller said subjects had threatened to come get her and physically harm her.
    Action — Officer listened to the message  and tried to contact subject who would not answer her door.
11:57 p.m. Jacobs Avenue — Harassment by Phone — A male caller requested that police speak with a male subject  and have him stop texting another male individual. While officer was in route, more text were received and was concerned that subject would come to his residence.
    Action — Officer spoke with subject who stated he had only text once. Subject was advised that he would be charged if he contacted individual anymore and he would also be charged if he was on male’s property.
Monday, October 27
9:47 a.m. Sincock Street — Disorderly Conduct — Police were informed of a vehicle playing music loud. And they had been asked to turn it down, occupants just laughed. Registration stated vehicle was white, officer said color was blue. Officer spoke with subject and advised him of the complaint. If continues he will receive paperwork.
10:45 a.m. York Street — Littering — Caller reported finding five barrels full of undetermined material on York Street. Stated one of the tanks had a sticker on it, tanks appeared to have been there for a period of time. DEP had been contacted.
    Action — Tanks were full of what appeared to be waste oil. Officer spoke with an individual at a local business who informed they pay to have a company downstate care of the waste product from that business. Officer was told waste used to be given to local businesses. Officer took an employee to where the tanks were so that he could identify the one with the sticker.
8:30 p.m. Van Buren Road — Disorderly Conduct — Officer went to a residence where a female wanted a male subject to leave the house. Male was not paying rent.
    Action — Officer advised female to obtain a protection order if needed. Office met male subject at the police station and advised him his clothes would be waiting for him by the front doorstep. Subject understood the situation and did not argue with officer.
Tuesday, October 28
12:07 p.m. Water Street — Suspicious Activity — Caller advised that while traveling down Water Street past an older building he noticed two male subjects with beer, attempting to gain entry into the building.
    Action — Officer located subjects who were just standing there; they would leave the area.
9:27 p.m. Hardison Avenue — Criminal Mischief — Caller reported a female subject had kicked his door in while he had been away. He advised that subject had text message his wife saying she carded the door .
    Action — Officer  determined door did appeared to have been kicked in; unknown who had done the damage.
