Matthew Curry of Caribou was the recent winner in the 12 to 13-year-old category of the Elks Hoop Shoot Free Throw competition, recently held at Wieden Gymnasium at the University of Maine in Presque Isle. Curry hit 20 out of 25 foul shots to claim the victory in his division, winning the District Championship. Curry qualified to compete in Bangor, Jan. 18. in the state championship.
