Anderson/Merritt married

On November 16, 2008 friends and family gathered to watch Dawn Merritt and Gordon Anderson exchange their wedding vows. Dawn is the daughter of Raymond Baston and the late Norma Jeanne Baston of New Limerick. Gordon is the son of Gordon Sr. and Reta Anderson of Hodgdon, formerly of Washburn.
Phil Jordon officiated over the ceremony and assisted the couple with the vows they wrote. As part of the ceremony, Dawn’s special son, Fred Merritt was asked to wear a pinkie ring as a symbol of part of this union. Jennie (Murphy) Lee of Florida and Patrick Coville of Houlton stood up with the couple.
The Linneus Snow Sports Clubhouse was decorated with mini white lights, pine boughs, burgundy, gold, black bows and ribbons. The tables had white tablecloths with black tulle table runner. The center pieces were hurricane lanterns with burgundy candles surrounded by pine wreathes with gold ornaments. The wedding cake was topped with Mickey and Minnie and had three white layers with poke-a-dots made out of Oreo cookies. Between the layers were burgundy Gerber daisies. The groom’s cake was chocolate with peanut butter frosting made in remembrance of Norma Jeanne Baston’s great cakes. The cake was served by grandchildren Nicholas and Rachel.
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Anderson reside in New Limerick and plan to honeymoon in Aruba. They would like to thank the friends and family who helped to make their long awaited day so special.
