AUGUSTA – Rep. Mike Willette (D-Presque Isle) has been appointed to the State and Local Government Committee for the 124th Legislature.
Speaker of the House Hannah Pingree recently appointed members of the Maine House of Representatives to joint standing committees based on their personal areas of interest and expertise. “I look forward to getting to work,” said Willette, a realtor who is serving his first term in the House. “This is an important time for our state and we need to accomplish a lot in Augusta this session to put us on the right track for the future.”
The State and Local Government Committee considers bills regarding state contracts and fiscal procedures, state government organization, oversight of state officials, state employees and property; administrative procedures, boards and commissions, notaries public, capitol area planning, county and regional government, county budget process, Legislature, and municipal and local government.
