Plourde, Irene, 88, Caribou, in Van Buren, April 5, 2009. A funeral mass will be celebrated 11 a.m., April 8, from the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Arrangements are in the care of the Mockler Funeral Home, Caribou.

 

Image    Caribou – Irene Plourde, 88, wife of the late Oneil Plourde died April 5, 2009 at Van Buren. She was born in Caribou, January 24, 1921, the daughter of the late Dominick and Yvonne (Sanfacon) Fournier. Mrs. Plourde was a longtime member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne. She was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary. 
    Irene is survived by seven  daughters and five sons-in-law; Joan Ouellette of Killingworth, Ct., Marlene and Hubert Keaton, of Caribou, Alice and Robert Ouellette of Stockholm, Patsy and Patrick Levesque, Helen and Steve Haines and Ann and Paul Morin all of Caribou, and Susan Petrencik of Lisbon Falls, five sons and four daughters-in-law Nelson and Anna Plourde of Agawam, MA., Norman Plourde of Stockholm, Francis and Diane Plourde of Jefferson, Tommy and Debbie Plourde of Old Orchard Beach and Jimmy and Jolene Plourde of Millinocket. One brother Joseph Fournier of Connecticut, four sisters Gloria, Viola, Theresa, and Bernice, 32 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, one great- great-granddaughter, many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Plourde was predeceased by her husband in 2005, a granddaughter Gail Keaton Barker and a daughter in law Shirley Plourde.
    Friends called at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2009 from the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Clement Thibodeau, officiating. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
