READING INCENTIVE — TDBanknorth manager, John Tribou visited young readers at Cary Library to introduce the bank’s read and save program. The bank will partner with Cary Library and deposit $10 into a new or existing Young Saver account after the completion of 10 books for each child. Forms may be picked up at Cary Library.
“Children participating in the program will receive a $10 deposit from TDBanknorth in a new or existing Young Saver account when they have completed 10 books and brought their list to the bank,” said bank store manager, John Tribou. “We are committed to helping young people learn valuable lessons about saving and investing in the future.”
Tribou visited the local library to introduce young readers to the program and read a special book donated by the Houlton Rotary Club entitled, “Apple Dumpling Adventure.”
Tribou is president-elect of the service organization.
The children were excited about earning money while reading and were anxious to tell their brothers, sisters and friends.
Students may sign up for the program at Cary Library. For more information call Linda Faucher at 532-1302.
