For the last 16 years Houlton area residents have traveled south to the well-known restaurant Horn of Plenty in Island Falls. Now one can decide on a moment’s notice to stop in for lunch or dinner. Owners, Bill Roderick and Nancy Levin have moved their business to North Street in Houlton in the building that houses Mac’s Trading Post, County Girl Fitness and Body, Mind and Spirit Counseling Service.
Roderick and Levin have been busy designing the new eating facility. The major renovations are done and now they are moving furniture, dishes, stocking the supplies and having the food delivered.
Levin said, “We are anxious to get up and running, but Bill won’t open until everything is perfect.”

WELCOME TO HOULTON — Nancy Levin and Bill Roderick are putting the finishing touches on their popular restaurant Horn of Plenty. They have relocated their business of 16 years from Island Falls to 382 North Street in Houlton. Watch for their grand opening soon.
Roderick and Levin had been very happy in Island Falls and have had a great clientele, but with the downturn of the economy and the closing of the National Starch Company they decided to make the move.
The restaurant menu offers an International Cuisine featuring steak, seafood and pasta with daily specials. Everything is homemade including the desserts. The restaurant will be open Wednesdays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. and from 4:30 in the afternoon with the last seating at 8 in the evening.
Watch their sign for the grand opening. It just might be ready for the 4th of July weekend.
