The United Baptist Church of Littleton will host Ed Sealy of Wakefield, New Brunswick. on Thursday and Friday, Sept. 10 and 11.
Sealy will share his message through music and his testimonial. The services begin at 7 p.m. each evening.
On Saturday, Sept. 12 at 5:30 p.m., the Baptist Church members will host a potluck supper at the Southern Aroostook Agricultural Museum in Littleton. Please bring a favorite dish to share with those attending. Beverages and desserts will be provided. There will be a time for fellowship and music after the meal with Sealy, as the guest speaker.
On Sunday, Sealy will share God’s message at the morning worship service that begins at 10:30 at the church and again at the 6 p.m. evening service.
Sealy was born in Bathurst, N.B. the oldest of eight children. He spent many years operating a chain of restaurants in Nova Scotia. In 1978 he left the business world to pursue his calling to the ministry. He pastored in Belleville, N.B. for five years, and then taught at a Bible School. He later founded a ministry known as “Furtherance Ministries” and has recorded six CDs; all original pieces by Sealy.
During September 2000, Sealy’s life story was broadcast around the world in 147 countries on 1,150 radio stations. “Unshackled,” a ministry of Pacific Garden Mission, based in Chicago dramatized his life story and presented it to the world during the September broadcast.
In 2004, Sealy received a Mercy Award from the N.B. Gospel Music Hall of Fame awards for Male Artist of the Year.
