Terryville, CT and CARIBOU – Robert W. Johnston, 60, died unexpectedly, October 24, 2009, at his Terryville residence. He was born at Caribou, November 9, 1948, the son of Wilford and Marie (Lagasse) Johnston. He was educated in Caribou and was a graduate of the Caribou High School, Class of 1966. He enjoyed music, hunting and fishing. After moving to Connecicut and working for the Chippanee Gold Club, he learned and loved the game of golf.
Bob is survived by his mother, Marie Johnston of Caribou; his son, Jared Johnston of Caribou; his daughter, Mackenzie Stevenson and her husband, Tyler of Wayne; two grandsons, Wyatt and Isaac both of Wayne; two sisters, Joanne Deveau and her husband, Jim of Terryville, CT and Susan Johnston of Augusta; a brother, Roger Johnston of Bristol, CT; nieces, Teasha and Shannon; nephews, Aron, Jason, Christian, Troy and Chad; Carol Johnston of Caribou, the mother of his children; a special person in his life, Donna LaMontagne of Terryville, CT; along with many aunts, uncles, great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Wilford Johnson.
Family and friends may visit with the family at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou Thursday, November 12, 2009 from 1 p.m. until time of services, which will be held 2 p.m., at the funeral home, with the Fr.
