A Vet’s Pledge

    Terry Martin of Stacyville, a Vietnam-era veteran, joined approximately 250-300 guests for the Pledge of Allegiance at a Veterans Day ceremony Sunday in the Sherman Rec Department. Behind him is his daughter Ashlee Martin and her friend, Josh Costighan, both of whom traveled from Hampden for the event. The highlight of the afternoon was a surprise award when Cpl. Alberto F. Lilley received the Maine Silver Star.
