The five CMS instructors stated, Tamarra is a hardworking fifth-grader who is always working to improve. She is kind and considerate to her classmates and greets everyone with a smile. A member of the CMS band and chorus, Tamarra is making a smooth transition into the fifth grade and has proven to her teachers that she is a successful fifth-grader.
Emma Belyea, a member of the fifth grade team,“ The Brainiacs,” was selected as Student of the Month for October by her teachers, Mrs. Nella Ouellette and Mrs. Cindy Levasseur.
The CMS staff described Emma this way: “Emma has easily adjusted to life at CMS. She is a hard-working and responsible student and is always willing to help others in the classroom. Emma is also a member of CMS chorus and is taking trumpet lessons.”
Jenna Boucher a grade six student in the “Super-sixers” team, was named Student of the Month for October by her teachers Mrs. Jen Quinlan and Ms. Sarah LaJoie.
The CMS teachers stated, “ Jenna is always prepared for class, and participates often in class discussions. While she takes her schoolwork seriously — as is apparent in the quality of her assignments — she also maintains a great sense of humor and works well in groups as well as individually. In addition to her regular schoolwork, Jenna also participates in the CMS band where she plays the bass clarinet.
Jacob Whitten is a member of the sixth grade, “Six-ceeders” team and was selected as Student of the Month for October by his teachers, Mrs. Twyla Learnard, Mrs. Susan Keaton, Mrs. Cathy Bouchard, Mrs. Ruth Dionne and Mr. John Pelletier.
Jacob’s teachers described him in these words, “Jacob has demonstrated good work habits and is highly conscientious when completing assignments to ensure their quality. He gets along well with his peers and is an exemplary role model. He is well mannered and his behavior is cooperative and respectful. Jacob has a great sense of humor and a kind heart. He enjoys the outdoors and is happiest when he is on the farm working with his Dad. Having Jacob as a student in the classroom is rewarding.”
Dustin Bouchard was named Student of the Month for October by his grade seven teachers Mrs. Kim Barnes, Mrs. Mary Curtis, Mr. Steve Perreault, Ms. Shelly Richardson and Mrs. Holly Rhinebolt.
“Dustin is an honor roll student,” said his teachers, “he is conscientious about his responsibilities as a student and is always prepared for class, and his teachers appreciate his enthusiasm for learning. Dustin is kind to his peers and strives to be a good school citizen. He also participates in extra-curricular sports including soccer and basketball.
Sarah Doak is a seventh grade student at Caribou Middle School and was named Student of the Month for October, by faculty members, Mrs. Kim Barnes, Mrs. Mary Curtis, Mr. Steve Perrault, Ms. Shelly Richardson and Mrs. Holly Rhinebolt.
Sarah’s teachers described their honored student this way. “A member of the highest honor roll, Sarah is a tremendous student who has exceptional work ethics and determination. She is a member of the leadership team at CMS, called the Developmental Assets Team in which students take the lead on school-related issues and ways to make CMS better. Sarah currently has been a leading force with the Red Ribbon Week celebration at CMS, in which students pledge to avoid drug use.”
“Sarah is a go-getter and will help and volunteer to do most anything both in her classes and at school. She treats her classmates with respect and is highly regarded by her peers and teachers as a leader, friend, scholar, athlete and person with high expectations for herself and her actions. Sarah is a very good athlete who played on the middle school soccer team and will be playing on the CMS seventh grade basketball team this winter,” said her teachers.
Clara Collins was named Student of the Month for October by her grade eight teachers Mrs. Shannon Sleeper, Mrs. Jessica Dow, Mr. Troy Barnes, Mr. Ralph Fantasia and Mrs. Jennifer Rand.
“Clara is an exceptional student,” said the CMS teachers, “and is a role model to her fellow classmates and is always striving for her best. She is kind and considerate to everyone in the building and consistently lends a helping hand to those in need. Clara also keeps herself busy with extra-curricular activities including band, soccer, cross-country and alpine skiing, basketball, and tennis and she is also a homeroom representative.”
Luke Smart has been chosen as October’s Student of the Month by his grade eight team teachers, Mrs. Shannon Sleeper, Mrs. Jessica Dow, Mr. Troy Barnes, Mr. Ralph Fantasia, Mrs. Jennifer Rand and Mr. John Habeeb.
Luke’s teachers said, “Luke is a very kind and conscientious student who is constantly striving to improve and achieve. He is very pro-active, with an outstanding attitude toward both his academics and his classmates. He strives to improve daily, often trading recess in order to focus on his studies. Always eager to learn and interested in the activities of the school, Luke is a great example of hard work and determination and is a definite asset to the eighth grade class.”
