CAUSE FUNDS DONATED — Easton School Superintendent Frank Keenan accepts a check in the amount of $1,715 from Lisa Miles (left) and Virginia Joles (right), representatives of The CAUSE (Central Aroostook United for Student Emergencies).
The CAUSE is a newly-formed citizen group focused on assisting students in Easton, Fort Fairfield, Mars Hill, Ashland, Washburn, Limestone, Caribou and Presque Isle who may be in need of appropriate clothing, hygiene products, medical needs, school supplies or emergency assistance to recover from a catastrophic family event. Participating area schools have been allocated proceeds from a September charity auction hosted by The CAUSE, which raised proceeds of approximately $20,000.
