Red Cross receives ‘Count on the County’ award
The County Federal Credit Union’s “Count On The County” Initiative Committee has awarded the American Red Cross Pine Tree Chapter the second $1,000.00 award in the “Count On The County” Initiative.
The Pine Tree Chapter of the American Red Cross received the award for having answered the needs of Aroostook County individuals, families, and communities in the wake of disasters since 1919.
The $1,000 will support the Pine Tree Chapters continued work in responding to flooding, fires, and other events that displace or disrupt the lives of our neighbors in Aroostook County.
The County Federal Credit Union (CFCU) “Count on The County” Initiative is awarding $1,000 to a non-profit organization in Aroostook County within the field of membership each month for the next 12 months.
CFCU encourages individual participation in this initiative by telling CFCU staff who they think is most deserving. Residents of the region can nominate their non-profit organization at www.countyfcu.org. Eligible submissions must be a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in good standing.
Additional information on the American Red Cross Pine Tree Chapter can be accessed by visiting www.pinetree.redcross.org.
