    Some penguins build nests to hold their eggs in. The mother penguin searches for fish while father penguin takes care of the egg. Feathers help the penguins hide in the water. A nest can hold one or two eggs. Some penguins build nests to hold their eggs but some penguins steal the rocks that the mother or father use.

    Penguins can live in the coldest places. Penguins have thick feathers to keep out cold. Feathers help penguins hide from predators. Penguins use their flippers to help them to swim.

    There are more Adelie penguins than any other kind of penguins. Emperor penguins are the largest; they weigh 100 pounds. Rock hopper penguins have yellow bright feathers on top of their head. The yellow feathers are called crests. Penguins can slip and slide and swim.

    Emperor penguins can hold their breath for 20 minutes under water. Emperor Penguins are great hoppers. Emperor penguins can slide on their belly; it is called tobogganing. Emperor penguins travel hundreds of miles for food. On land penguins waddle to get places.
