Jillian Jandreau is a member of the fifth-grade “Explorers” team and was chosen Student of the Month for April by her teachers Mrs. Jola Hebert and Mrs. Deede Duncan.
The CMS teachers stated, “Jillian is an excellent student with very high standards for her schoolwork. She strives for perfection and has attained Highest Honors all year. She keeps her classmates informed by serving as a CMS Student Organization representative. Jillian is a member of the fifth-grade band and CMS track. She is recognized by her classmates and her teachers as a thoughtful, considerate and successful fifth-grader.”
Nick Pelletier, a grade five student on the “Brainiacs” team was named Student of the Month for April by his teachers Mrs. Nella Ouellette and Mrs. Cindy Levasseur.
“Nick plays the drums and is a member of the fifth-grade band,” stated his teachers, “ He enjoys baseball and plays Little League. Nick has been a big help to his teachers this year, running errands and showing classmates around the school. He is also a very responsible student.”
Nathaniel Adams was chosen as Student of the Month for April by his sixth-grade teachers on the “Super-sixers” team, Ms. Sarah Lajoie and Mrs. Jen Quinlan.
“Nathaniel has shown consistent growth and improvement over the course of this year, “ said the CMS teachers. He almost always completes his assignments and projects on time and enthusiastically contributes to class discussions on a regular basis. Creative, genuine and willing to help a friend in need, Nathaniel is also currently learning to play the trumpet and has a keen interest in computers.”
Kate Finnemore is a member of the “Six-ceeders” team and was named Student of the Month for April by her team teachers Mrs. Bouchard, Mrs. Dionne and Mr. Pelletier.
Her teachers stated, “Kate has demonstrated good work habits and is highly conscientious to ensure quality when completing assignments. She gets along well with her peers and is an exemplary role model. She is well-mannered, cooperative and respectful to both adults and students. Kate is an active participant in the school’s band and chorus and is a member of the Gifted and Talented program. Kate also created and designed our flag during the recent theme day activities. In her spare time, she enjoys performing with the Maine Dance Academy.”
Chelsea Haney, a seventh-grade student has been named Student of the Month for April by team teachers Mrs. Mary Curtis, Mrs. Kim Barnes, Mr. Steve Perreault, Mrs. Holly Rhinebolt and Ms. Shelly Richardson.
The CMS teachers said, “Chelsea is a nice, polite young lady who is always willing to help others. She is a pleasure to have in class and is respected by her teachers and classmates. Chelsea takes pride in her school and was a member of the girls soccer team last fall.”
Drew Lajoie has been named Student of the Month for April by her seventh-grade teachers, Mrs. Twyla Leanard, Mrs. Susan Keaton, Mr. John Habeeb, Mrs. Kim Barnes, Mrs. Mary Curtis, Mr. Steve Perreault and Mrs. Holly Rhinebolt.
“Drew is hardworking, responsible and talented,” stated her teachers, “she is well-mannered and kind to all she meets. Another student who needs help with an assignment will often to turn her for able assistance. In class, Drew produces high quality work and makes meaningful contributions to class discussions and group work. She is very involved with school activities where she participates in the band, managed the soccer team last fall and is currently on the softball team. Drew is a pleasure to have in class and it is a pleasure to recognize her high level of achievement.”
Mackenzie Beaulieu is a CMS grade eight student who was chosen by her teachers, Mrs. Jennifer Rand, Mrs. Jessica Dow, Mrs. Shannon Sleeper, Ms. Nicole Carpenter, Mr. Troy Barnes and Mrs. Ralph Fantasia as Student of the Month for April.
Her teachers stated, “Mackenzie is an excellent student who can always be found on the Honor Roll. As teachers we view her as a caring and considerate student, who is always polite toward her classmates and staff and is quick to lend a helping hand. A gifted art student, Mackenzie has also been in band during her time here at CMS. Outside of school she is an accomplished figure skater, plays guitar and is a budding photographer, having submitted photos at the Northern Maine Fair.”
Melanie Biggs, an eighth-grade student at Caribou Middle School has been named Student of the Month for April by her teachers Mrs. Sue Keaton, Mrs. Twyla Learnard, Mr. Troy Barnes, Mr. Ralph Fantasia, Mrs. Jen Rand, Mrs. Shannon Sleeper and Mrs. Jessica Dow.
The eighth grade teachers stated, “Melanie has an inspiring sense of school spirit. She has been active on the cheerleading team, participates in school events and is always the first to volunteer to make posters for the athletic teams and clubs. She is always polite and courteous in class and is conscientious about her studies. Melanie is a very positive influence on her peers and sets a good example for others.”
