Tree planting

Fourth-grade Southside School students Mia Hanning, left, and Trynity Plummer work at weeding a Yellow Transparent  apple tree as part of spring clean-up of the school’s fruit orchard.  Students weeded and mulched the trees and also planted a Dolgo  Crabapple tree. The fruit orchard was established in 2007 with trees donated by Slow Food Aroostook County.
