Paul E. Tarbox was granted eternal rest on Saturday, June 19th, 2010. He passed peacefully in Ocala, Florida, where he lived for the past 2 years. He was 67 years old. Paul was born in Perham, Maine, on July 26th, 1942, to Forest and Bernice Tarbox. He graduated from Washburn High School in Maine, where he played baseball and basketball.
After graduating from high school, Paul moved to Lee, Massachusetts, in 1960, before joining the US Army. He served 3 years, and was stationed in Germany. Paul was honorably discharged in 1963, and returned to The Berkshires where he married Sandra Ann Magri.
Paul leaves his daughter, Kathleen Chapman, his daughter, Tracie Barry, her husband, Patrick, a son, James, and a granddaughter, Kira. He also leaves his sister, Margaret Baumgartner of Dalton, his sister, Dorothy and brother, Keith, of Maine, and his sister-in-law, Clare Bartini of Lee.
He was predeceased by his parents, his brothers, Gerald and Delmar, his daughter, Lauri, and wife, Sandra.
Paul was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, who will be greatly missed by his family.
Paul loved his family, his country, and debating politics. He traveled extensively throughout the United States with his wife. Paul also enjoyed sailing, sunshine, warm weather, and the ocean.
Paul was employed at Crane and Company for 29 years as an Instrument Technician, retiring in 2004. He also worked for the Kimberly Clark and Foxboro companies. He lived in Lee, West Stockbridge, and Pittsfield, where he spent many years with his family.
