Thibodeau, Linda D., 62, Connor Twp., at Bangor, July 10, 2010. Friends may call at the funeral home, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., July 15. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m., July 16, from the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Arrangements are in the care of Mockler Funeral Home, Caribou.

 

AR Linda ThibodeauConnor Twp. – Linda D. Thibodeau, 62, died July 10, 2010, at Bangor from complications due to an automobile accident. She was born in Caribou November 26, 1947, the daughter of the late Bertrand and Edwidge (Gagnon) Damboise. Linda was a 1966 graduate of Caribou High School and was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was employed as a cook at the former Loring Air Force Base for a number of years and more recently was employed by the Caribou Nursing and Rehab Center, where she loved sharing her fine cooking talents as well as her joy of life with her co-workers as well as the residents there. She volunteered her time for many causes but none more important to her that the Sunshine Club at Caribou Nursing Home.  Linda was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was a gentle soul who cherished her family and friends and loved the gatherings at her home for fine home-cooked French dishes.

Linda was predeceased by her first husband, Roger Hebert in 1977 and in 1978 she met and fell in love with Percy Thibodeau, who survives her, of Connor. Together they raised their five children, Roger Hebert and his wife, Julie of Morgan Hill, Calif., Todd Hebert and his wife, Polly of Houlton, Tim Hebert and his wife, Kira of Bangor, Amy Walker and her husband, Timothy of Fort Fairfield and Carol Thibodeau of Connor. She is also survived by four brothers, Conrad Damboise of Augusta, Wayne and Cindy Damboise of Connor, Alan and Stephanie Damboise of Old Town and Rodney and Janet Damboise of Laconia, N.H.; two sisters, Carmen and Tom Tetu of Holden and Donna and Shane Grindle of Owls Head; 11 grandchildren with one more on the way; many nieces and nephews. Linda was predeceased by a sister-in-law, Pat Damboise.

Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Thursday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday, July 16, 2010, from the Parish of the Precious Blood, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with Linda’s nephew, Fr. Aaron Damboise, officiating. Interment will be in the Parish Cemetery. Following the services all are invited to the parish center for a time of fellowship and refreshments. Friends who wish to contribute in memory of Linda may do so through the Caribou Nursing and Rehab Sunshine Club fund.
