PRESQUE ISLE — For the second time since assuming the duties of city manager, Jim Bennett is preparing to meet with citizens to hear their interests and concerns Friday morning at the Northeastland Hotel.

“I’ll be holding my second one-on-one meeting with citizens of Presque Isle on July 23 from 7 to 8:30 a.m. at the Sidewalk Café, located at the Northeastland on Main Street,” said Bennett.
The city manager said the first session – held at McDonald’s earlier this year – was “quite informative” and provided him an opportunity to get acquainted with the citizens he serves.
“I found it to be very interesting and learned a lot about what concerns the residents of Presque Isle. I’m looking forward to my second meeting to gain more input on how I can address the issues that most concern them,” he said.
The manager would like to talk directly with Presque Isle citizens and listen to what they feel is important for the future of the community.
“The city of Presque Isle has always been a leader in Aroostook County. With new ideas from its citizens, the community can be even better,” said Bennett.
Bennett selected the Northeastland due to its long history of being a gathering spot for locals.
“The Northeastland Hotel’s Sidewalk Café is a great place to meet with friends, and we thank them for hosting this event at their location,” said Bennett. “Be sure and stop by on Friday. I’m looking forward to hearing what everyone has to say.”
