The Houlton peewee Black Knights’ season is off to a great start as the second regular season game was played Saturday at the NMCC field against the Presque Isle Huskies.
On the opening drive, quarterback Jacob Forest threw a touchdown pass to running back Abe Lorom for a score of six and the extra point was gained by running back, Sam Geary.

HANDOFF — Peewee Black Knights’ quarterback Jacob Forest hands off to running back Sam Geary during last week’s play. The peewee Black Knights defeated the Presque Isle Huskies.

The first half of the game also saw a touchdown by Geary and an interception by linebacker Kinsman Corthell.
Entering the third quarter, the game was tied 13-13, but the Huskies were no match for the undefeated Knights who came back with two unanswered touchdowns gained by Geary and running back Nick Botting.
Coach Brian Forest will have the team out Saturday to raise money and awareness about the league. The hope is that some other communities will form teams and the league will grow.         As of now, the peewee league has three teams and would like to see more for next year.
