HOULTON – Ruth Margaret Denker, 94, died April 1, 2011 at a local healthcare facility. She was born July 3, 1916 at Cary, the daughter of Merle and Hazel (Putnam) Oliver.
Ruth worked at the Houlton Air Force Base during World War II and was a telephone operator for many years in Maryland, working for AT&T.
Ruth is survived by her brothers, Morris Oliver of Hodgdon, Floyd Oliver of Cary Plantation, Dana Oliver of Caribou; her sister, Marjorie Patterson of Colorado Springs, CO; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Henry A. Denker and her brother, Harold Oliver.
Friends called at the Dunn Funeral Home Monday 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. Interment will be in the Hodgdon Cemetery in the spring.
