D&S Self-Storage adds new units

    When you seemed to have run out of room to store one more thing in your home and you don’t want to sell that commodity, D&S Self-Storage can help.
    Owned and operated by Denise and Shawn Campbell of Linneus, D&S Self-Storage offers an array of storage units in a variety of sizes. The smallest unit is five foot by 10 feet, starting at $20 a month and working their way up to the largest unit 10 foot by 24 feet for $73 a month.
    “For the most part, everything is allowed,” said Shawn, “except for hazardous materials.”
    Storage Units can hold anything from a car, ATV, snowsled to household items and even valuable items someone owns.
MORE UNITS — D&S Self-Storage of Linneus recently completed the addition of 19 new units, bringing the business total to 53, at its U.S. Route 2A (Bangor Road) location.
    Shawn isn’t new to storage units, as his company rents storage units to store his products.
    “I knew it was something useful for the area,” he said of starting up the business six years ago. “The ones I have, do pretty well so I decided to keep it going.”
    The Campbells opened their first group of storage units in 2005 on the Bangor Road in Linneus, adding several more units the next year.
    “We started with 22 units,” said Shawn. “We added 12 units for a total of 34 after the second addition.”
    Recently, the Campbells have increased their number of units once again for a total of 53, as they have just completed 19 new units. Each unit is lighted and owners provide their own locks.
    “The storage units are convenient, well-lit and secure,” Denise added.
    D&S Storage is located only 7.7 miles from Houlton on 2A and the Campbells pride themselves on their customer service.
    “We are easily located, people have easy access to their units, we have a variety of sizes and our prices are competitive,” Shawn explained. “It’s been really good. We’d like to thank our customers for their business and look forward to serving future customers.”
