Football season opens

Practice and fundraising on tap
    The Houlton Football Association has announced that season practice begins on Monday, Aug. 15.
    All grade 4-6 peewee candidates are asked to attend at the Houlton Airport Field at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 15.
    The junior high Knights will meet at the Maliseet Field at 5:30 p.m. also on Monday, Aug. 15.

    The annual football fundraiser will be held on Saturday, Aug. 13 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The fundraiser includes a carwash at F.A. Peabody on North Street and a ‘canning’ drive at various retail outlets in town.
    The fundraiser allows the youth of the area to play the game defraying costs for registration fees, equipment and game officials.
